Transplanted Burpee Mammoth Sunflower next to fence.  Using a copper ring to protect from slugs.

Started some cucumber seedlings in place of failed pea plants.  Cucumbers are supposed to thrive in pea soil.

Albion Strawberries

Getting lots of red berries now.  Second year in planter.  Horace is pureeing these for Kentucky Kiss Cocktails.

Something is killing my pea plant.

Transplanted Burpee Cantaloupe seedlings to new "patio picker" container (an EarthBox knock off).

Most bulbs are growing vigorously now.

Lots of leaves.

Tomatoes

Planted Sweet 100 cherry tomato and Champion II regular tomato from Yamagami's in earth box today.

Escallonia & Lemon

Planted seven compact escallonia bushes and an improved Meyer lemon tree next to driveway today.  Lemon is grafted onto a semi dwarf root stock.

Installed a GreenWell water saving ring around the Trovita Orange tree.  Also started Burpee "Mammoth Sunflower" and "Ambrosia Hybrid Cantaloupe" seeds today.

Onion Bulbs

Planted 35 out of 50 onion bulbs I bought from Lowe's for $4.  Brand is Van Zyverden, Sweet Onions.  These are alongside the sprouting onion SEEDS from last year's onion flowers in the raised beds.

Peas in EarthBox

Transplanted peas today.

Seed Starting

Started 2 brands of sugar snap peas indoors today.  Also sprinkled some alyssum seeds outdoors, in the front garden bed.

Transplanted dormant tree from Dave Wilson's Nursery into in raised bed today.

First and only daffodil bloom so far.

Washington Navel

2nd Orange fell off Washington Navel tree today.

Blenheim (Royal) Apricot

Dave Wilson nursery tree planted in the front yard.

Trovita Orange

Turning large and orange.

Gala Apple Tree

Planted a Dwarf Gala Apple Tree in a 4 gallon pot today.  Tree is from GrowOrganic.com (same as Asian Pear).
