3 in 1 Asian Pear

Got my bare root stock dwarf tree in the mail today, from Peaceful Valley Farm in Grass Valley, Ca.  Three grafts are: 20th Century (green paint), Hosui (yellow), and Shinseiki (white).  A possible 4th graph (purple) wasn't labeled, but might be Chojuro.

Buried clay pot watering

Trying out a method I read about in the book, "Gardening with less water," by David A. Bainbridge.  He uses buried clay pots, filled with water, to keep soil moist and reduce evaporation.  I am using this with directly sewn seeds from Burpee: Cook's custom BEET mix.
